Sebastian's Bed Before and After

Here are a couple of before and after photos of Sebastian's new bed. We purchased the bed on ebay for .99cents plus a can of paint for $30 and a lot of hard work from my husband. Sebastian is now very pleased with the result as you can see, his now loves looking out the window spying on the unsuspecting neighbour behind us.

My Favourite Neighbourhood House

On my neighbourhood walks I have always stopped and looked longingly at this house. It is now being renovated and the owners know exactly what they are doing, they are restoring it beautifully. I would give my right arm to have a walk through once it is finished so I am hoping they will sell it however it doesn't have the look about a property renovated to sell more like a property renovated with love.

My new Chandelier

I am always a sucker for a chandelier so when I spotted this one last weekend at the Auction house Raffan Kelahar and Thomas in Leichhardt with pink droplets I was hyperventilating in desire. We put it up this weekend and I am thrilled with the result. This is our entrance way into our terrace house so it is only a metre wide, now to find the perfect thin table so we can still get the stroller in and out.

Collette Dinnigan's Home

Collette Dinnigan has her beautiful Paddington Terrace for sale. What an exquisite property, I would love to have a look through it but I think my swooning might give me away as a fake buyer.

This is my favourite image, very peaceful, refined elegance.

Peaceful Interiors

I love this picture it is so peaceful and looks luxurious but comfortable.
Sorry I am not sure where I found this photo.

Sebastian's Stripes

Sebastian's room is coming along nicely, the bed we bought on ebay for .99cents looks amazing, and I love the stripes, Alan did a great job. I will post some before and after photos as both the wall and the bed with in a sorry state. Now I need to get the sewing machine out to add some finishing touches.

Big Boy Bed

Sebastian is going to be moving to a big boy bed, at nearly two and a half it is about time, but I am nervous about him staying in the bed. Anyway I have bought these Florence Broadhurst fabrics from the Signature Prints Factory Outlet Sale and I am going to make a bedhead, some cushions and maybe a pelmet. I will put a photo in once I am finished.

Vintage Poster

I am on the look out for a beautiful vintage poster for my sons room and I came across this. I think it would great in my bedroom but at $4500 I will have to admire it from afar.

Jimmy Choo

I am currently reading this book on the wonderful Jimmy Choo brand, very interesting and amazing how the brand has evolved. A good read for lovers of Jimmy Choo.

More Chairs

At my favourite Auction House this past weekend I spotted the below chair, being sold in a pair. I love them but probably not in my budget this month. If only, I would love to cover them in a beautiful fabric.

Pink in my life

Pink has always been my favourite colour but lately I seem to be more and more drawn to it especially in interiors. At work I have quite a lot of pink on my desk maybe because I don't share it with a husband and two little boys. I am looking for the perfect pink cushions for my bed but until I find them I have found some of my favourite pink shots.
Not really pink, but close enough for tonight. EasyLiving Mag via MadebyGirl

Brisbane Houses

In my quest to find the perfect Queensland house I have another one that comes pretty close for me. My boys kept saying I want one with a swimming pool and that is their only criteria. But if I could I would snap this up right now and put a swimming pool in later.

Gwyneth Paltrow

I have long admired Gwyneth Paltrow, she always looks fantastic, has great hair, is a foodie and seems like a really cool mum, oh and has done some great movies too. So when I found out through http://renovationplanning.blogspot.com that she has a lifestyle website http://goop.com/ I had to have a look. Its fantastic, I love her fashion advise and really understand as a mum her article on a uniform http://goop.com/newsletter/3 from one of the newsletters. I have signed up to receive her newsletters and am looking forward to reading more.

My Two Little Indians

Cute shot of my two little Indians.

Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires has long been a dream destination for me with the Spanish food, beautiful architecture, great shopping and the list goes on and on. I have a file on it just in case I ever get to go but lately it seems to be coming out for other people and whilst I am very jealous I also can't wait to see what they find to add to my file. I would love to spend a day in the San Telmo Flea Market on Plaza Dorrego but in the meantime here are some of my favourite photos.

The Tea Rooms at the QVB

For our work Christmas morning tea we went to the QVB Tea Rooms. The whole experience was beautiful including the decor. I can't wait to take my mum next time she is in Sydney, she will love it

Our New Stairs

Over the Christmas break my husband always comes up with a couple of projects to do, he loves building and creating and every holiday he can't seem to help himself. So this Christmas he decided to fix up our back stairs which were never really finished properly when we renovated and have always annoyed him. I have attached the before and after photos.
